Reflections in the lake at Wastwater, the deepest lake in England, which sits underneath the highest point in England Scafell Pike.
The lake is almost 3 miles long and more than one-third mile wide. It is a glacial lake, formed in a glacially 'over-deepened' valley and has a depth of 258 feet.

The dramatic Wasdale Screes, an area of unstable, loose boulders on the far (east) bank tower down from Illgill Head and Whin Rigg.
